To ensure that hay buyers always get the tonnage represented, it is necessary to weigh each load of hay on a public scale. Depending on location, this is not always convenient, therefore Hayboys sells by the bale. Field conditions vary and bale weights range from a high of 120 lbs for Barley and on occasion as low as 40 lbs for some Grass Bales. Our 4′ round bales range from 500-700 lbs and our 4′ round plastic wrapped haylage bales range from 1000-1200 lbs. Hayboys encourages you to purchase a few bales prior to delivery to demonstrate the quality and nutritional value of our hay. Current lab test results are often available.
